People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier spoke of a “purple wave” during his speech to supporters after losing the race in his home riding of Beauce in Quebec. Bernier said “thousands of Canadians” were supporting his party, after losing to Conservative candidate Richard Lehoux.
